Rob Salerno - Founder/President

A native of South Brunswick, NJ, Rob Salerno formed Cinnamon Entertainment Group LLC in 1998. He earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History from the University of Pittsburgh in 1991. In 1992, he accepted his first job out of college at Shaker Advertising, a recruitment ad agency. Learning the business from the bottom up, he eventually moved on to become a Sales Manager for a highly recognized recruitment publication called Diversity Careers in Engineering & Information Technology (Renard Communications Inc.) in 1995. A year later in 1996, he accepted a position with Bernard Hodes Group. As a Recruitment Account Executive, he sold and placed recruitment media and job postings for Bernard Hodes Group's career portal called CareerMosaic.com (now owned by CareerBuilder) until September, 1998. It was during this time, he formed Cinnamon Entertainment Group LLC and began managing actors, actresses and musicians.

In 1999, he worked briefly at another job board called BestJobsUSA.com (Recourse Communications, RCI Media Group) as a Director of New Business Development before getting accepted into graduate school at his alma mater. In the summer of 2000, Rob returned to Bernard Hodes Interactive as an MBA intern and first discovered HR Search Engine Marketing.

By April 2001, he completed two masters degrees (MBA) and (MS/MIS) at the University of Pittsburgh's Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business with a specific focus on online marketing. In December 2002, he completed a Bachelor of Music (BM) degree in Music Business Management from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.

After a brief stint at the now defunct Media & Entertainment division of MKTG Services, he formed Online Promotions Group in June 2003. At that time, he launched HollywoodWin.com (now called HollywoodPrize.com) and started working with artists, film/tv marketers, and book/magazine and gaming publishers ever since.

In February 2004, he became the Agency Director for a ActiveWireless.com, a niche job board for the Wireless industry, while living in Nashville, TN. During this time, he became heavily involved in his first HR SEO consulting projects.

In February 2005, Cinnamon Entertainment Group LLC launched NJJobMarket.com, a job board dedicated to jobs and resumes in Rob's home state of New Jersey.

In February 2006, Cinnamon Entertainment Group LLC launched MobileWirelessJobs.com, a recruitment job blog dedicated to job listings, SMS text messaging job alerts and resume podcasts in the mobile content and wireless applications industries.

In August 2006, Cinnamon Entertainment Group LLC launched to BioTechPharmJobs.com, a recruitment job blog dedicated to job postings, SMS text messaging job alerts, and resume podcasts in the BioTech Pharmaceutical Medical Clinical Healthcare industry.

Today, Rob runs and operates Cinnamon Entertainment Group LLC / HROnlineMarketing.com in New York City as well as works with Insourceful-Inc as a project-based Interactive HR Consultant including projects in online talent acquisition using paid inclusion (PPC), search engine optimization (HR SEO), recruitment blogs, hr email marketing, SMS text messaging, and resume video podcasts.
